Applied Statistics Consulting: Childhood Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Study
In Spring 2023 I got the chance to participate in the PSU Computation and Data Enabled Sciences (CADES) Lab statistical consulting practicum. In this course I and my three teammates worked with a statistical consulting client who had approached the CADES Lab to request analytic assistance. Over the span of a quarter, we established a meeting schedule with our client, assigned project roles to our team members, researched methods, implemented two main methods, and delivered our findings to the client.Our client was a professor in the PSU psychology department who had an issue with the experimental design and results of a study into childhood developmental language disorder (DLD). The study was designed to test and determine potential differences in the implicit learning ability of children with DLD and children with typical language development (TLD).
